Companies with strong DEI programs have employees with higher job satisfaction, trust and engagement, leading to increased productivity and innovation that ultimately contribute to increased revenue. A more diverse organization performs better, and the benefits of DEI programs can be seen at every level of the business.

Employees are 158% more likely to understand target customers when they have at least one member who represents their target’s gender, race, age, sexual orientation, or culture. Companies with higher diversity in management earned, on average, 38% more revenue than companies with lower diversity, and organizations in the top 25% when it comes to gender diversity among executive leadership teams are 21% more likely to be profitable and 27% better at creating value.

The UK’s top 3 inclusive employers in 2021/2022, according to a study promoted by Inclusive Companies, are Capgemini UK, The Calico Group, and Bupa Global & UK. These companies promote inclusivity through various initiatives, such as “This is Me” groups, mentorship programs for underrepresented groups, and gender equality measures.

By promoting DEI, companies can build a stronger, more vibrant workplace culture. Measuring DEI in the workplace can help organizations understand where they need to improve and take steps to create an inclusive environment. Celebrating diverse holidays, issuing an inclusive statement from the company’s CEO, and revising employee’s value within the company are just some of the ways that can make all the difference and bring amazing results.

In conclusion, prioritising diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives is not just the right thing to do, it’s also smart business. By creating a workplace culture that celebrates diversity and fosters inclusivity, companies can attract and retain the best talent, encourage innovation, and ultimately drive revenue growth. We have had the privilege of working with many incredible organizations and diverse communities, and we remain committed to continuing this work in the future. Let’s embrace DEI and create a better, more inclusive world together.
